Introducing Custom-Made Acrylic Mirror PMMA
Extruded mirror PMMA is a widely used material that is still poorly understood. It is sometimes known by other generic or trade names such as: acrylic mirror, synthetic mirror, plastic mirror, PMMA mirror, Altuglas mirror, Plexi mirror, and Plexiglas mirror.
The chemical name for PMMA is Polymethyl Methacrylate.
Uses of 5 mm Extruded Mirror PMMA

Acrylic mirror is not a mineral mirror: The smaller and thicker the mirror, the better the reflection. The longer and thinner the mirror, the poorer the reflection will be. For larger formats, choose a thicker one.
Generally speaking, PMMA acrylic mirror is recommended for all applications where traditional mineral mirrors are unsuitable due to weight, impact resistance, ease of cutting, etc.

With 5 mm acrylic mirrors, choose a lightweight mirror that is impact and warp resistant. Unlike thinner mirrors, 5 mm limits reflection distortion. For optimal results, ensure you place your mirror on the flattest surface possible, positioning your double-sided adhesives or glue as evenly as possible.
