PMMA, commonly known as plexiglass, is a transparent and rigid thermoplastic polymer, well known for its unique characteristics such as excellent light transmission, outstanding optical properties, and light weight: PMMA sheets are twice as light as glass, making them an excellent alternative.
The chemical name of PMMA is polymethyl methacrylate.
